The Lourdes Event that took place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 6 December 2008 to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Apparition of Mary Immaculate at Lourdes in France.
Dear blessed Mother, we thank you for bringing Jesus into this world to save us. Thank you for your sacrifice, courage and obedience in order for God's plan to be fulfilled through you. Thank you for opening the path and leading us to your son, Jesus. Help us to be gentle and kind as you.
Apart from the penitential service, I enjoy December most as it is a time of rest from catechism class, feasting and singing nice and catchy songs which are only sung once or twice a year. This year, the Kristokos choir has been invited to carol for the families of our Special Needs catechism class.
We are blessed with a new nativity set and it has been placed in front of our main church entrance. It is hoped that the many families who gathered to snap pictures of the Holy Family, not only remember the celebration but also that these figurines will enliven the beautiful stories of the Epiphany and the 3 magi in their minds.
